Edible Baby Einstein Cake
I wanted to make a baby einstein cake and chose to make the caterpillar. I'd like to tell you how I did it!
I don't have a round pan, so I used Hostess snoballs instead. The icing went on smooth as long as I used a lot.
The body is single snoballs and the head was made by putting icing between two snoballs and then sticking them together before I iced the whole thing yellow.
If I were to make this again, I'd make it a bigger budget cake and get myself the proper supplies.
The legs are yellow jelly beans, the eyes are black ones, and the cheeks, pink. The antennae are red licorice with a Dot on top of each one, fastened with a toothpick. The antennae were also fastened to the head with a toothpick.
The icing is pre-made store-brand vanilla flavored, colored with regular food coloring.
I drew the mouth with black icing and put dollops of white icing on the eyes.
Making this cake took 30 minutes total!
Do you need a ball pan for your baby einstein cake? I wish I had one!
