Baby Invitation Wording
When it comes to thinking about what baby invitation wording would be right for your shower, remember that almost anything is perfect. Especially if it comes from your heart.
It's pretty amazing just how corny baby shower stuff can get! However, a baby shower is one of the only times you can get away with being as cheezy as you want. So, let go and express yourself! It's amazingly simple to create your own verse, from the info you know about mom and baby. You can use little things, like the due date, mom's favorite things, baby's gender, or advice. Think for a moment about what makes you smile when you think about the mom to be. Is it her giggle? When you get in a smiley mood, writing will be easier to do. You need to tell the guests some basic things: Date: Time: Place:
After the basics are covered, consider if receiving a response is important to you, and if you want guests to bring a specific gift for mom. Here is an example of baby invitation wording: FRONT OF CARD:
It's just next month that (mom's name)'s baby will be ready for the delivery! But we're not quite sure if mom's ready just yet, so it's gifts, love and company that she will get!INSIDE OF CARD: Join us on (date) To shower the baby! Be there at (time) at (address). RSVP to (name of host). Add any additional information, such as "in case of inclement weather, shower will be held..." or "bring a gift that starts with the letter "r." When you can't think of a rhyme, don't worry. Poems don't have to rhyme. Just use what comes from your heart. One last example:
FRONT OF CARD: There's a little girl on the way!
INSIDE OF CARD: It'd be fantastic to have you join us in the celebration! We can't wait for her to arrive! (put basic info last) You're going to be a professional before you know it!
