Ingredients: Chocolate Bars Writing Icing Make sure the room you're working in is air conditioned, so the chocolate doesn't melt. Also wash your hands in cold water and dry them well, before starting each cake. Twinkies have an amazingly sticky quality, and they stick right to the back of the chocolate bar. Start by doing this, so you know how much to trim off the bar. Start with a sharp knife and trim the corners of the candy bar. I used Hershey's Milk Chocolate for these, being careful not to break them into squares when I opened them, and as I cut them. After the chocolate is trimmed, pipe icing on top of the twinkie to make the flip flop straps. I used writing icing, which worked really well. I used a pair of my flip flops as a guide for where to put the straps.
Off to your right is a flip flop twinkie foot I'm not particularly proud of. I didn't leave a place for the big toe. But I'm guessing it would still be eaten anyway. Maybe I'm the only person that would notice the boo boo. My husband and I each enjoyed one of these after I was finished making them, and I would definitely recommend eating them with a fork since they melt quickly! This is a quick, easy baby shower cake decorating idea that only takes a few minutes, looks cute and tastes good.
