Baby Shower Finger Treats

English Toffee
2 Cubes Butter (1 Cup)
1 C. Sugar
5 Tbsp. Water
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/3 C. Light Corn Syrup

Melt butter in a heavy pan. Add other ingredients and turn the heat to high.Stir constantly(about 15 min.) When it starts to get thick, drop a little piece into a dish of cold water. If it cracks when you bite it, it's done.
Pour it into buttered cookie sheets. Spread with melted milk chocolate and crushed nuts. After completely cool, break into pieces.

Peanut Butter Fudge
2 C. Milk Chocolate Chips
½ C. Milk
3 C. Powdered Sugar
½ C. Peanut Butter

Melt chocolate chips in milk over low heat. Stir in powdered sugar & peanut butter. Mix until well blended. Spread in buttered 8 in. pan and refrigerate until set. Cut into 1 inch squares to serve.

People Chow
9 C. Cereal (Chex: Rice, Corn, Wheat; Cheerios, Kix, Crispix, etc.)
(You can also include in your 9 cups: pretzels, peanuts, marshmallows)
1 C. Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1/2 C. Peanut Butter
1/2 C. Margarine
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 1/2 C. Powdered Sugar

Put cereal combination in a large bowl and set aside. In microwave bowl, melt peanut butter, margarine and chocolate together, stirring until smooth. Then add vanilla.
Pour chocolate over cereals and stir until well coated. Put powdered sugar in a resealable bag and add cereal mixture. Shake until all pieces are well coated. Perfect baby shower finger treats!

Chewy Caramel Popcorn

1 lb. Package Brown Sugar
1/2 C. Butter
1 C. White Karo Syrup
1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk

Mix sugar & syrup together in pan & boil 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Add butter & cook & stir 2 more minutes. Add milk & cook & stir 2 more minutes. Pour over a very large bowl of popped corn & mix together. Drop in serving-sized pieces on cookie sheets to cool for baby shower finger treats, or shape into balls.

Chocolate Fondue
The queen of all baby shower finger treats!

16 oz. Chocolate (dark, milk, or semisweet) broken in pieces
1/2 pint Whipping Cream
1/2 C. Caramel Topping
3 Tbsp. Torani Hazelnut Syrup

Place all ingredients in a ceramic fondue pot over low heat. Stir constantly until the mixture is melted and smooth, but not bubbling. Arrange an assortment of bite-sized(no need for double dipping) foods around the pot. Some suggestions are: strawberries, bananas, apples, grapes, cherries, pound cake, marshmallows, raisins and shelled nuts. Spear with fondue forks or wooden skewers.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball
Perhaps, the king of all baby shower finger treats!

This takes about 3 hours to make and should serve about 32 people.
8 oz. Cream Cheese, Softened
1/2 C. Butter, Softened
3/4 C. Powdered Sugar
2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
1/4 tsp. Vanilla
3/4 C. Miniature Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
3/4 C. Finely Chopped Pecans

In a medium bowl beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Mix in sugars and vanilla. Stir in chocolate chips. Cover, and chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Shape chilled cream cheese mixture into a ball. Roll the cheese ball in finely chopped pecans, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for another hour before serving.
Serve with graham crackers and a variety of cookies.
