Baby Shower Food Idea
Dessert Bars

Since you're in search of a baby shower food idea, I'd like you to consider these irresistable treats!

Baby Shower Food Idea #1:
Peanut Butter Bars
Crust:
1 pkg. (18 oz.) Sugar Cookie Dough Filling:
1 Can (14 oz.) Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 C. Crunchy Peanut Butter
1 tsp. Vanilla
3 Egg Yolks
Topping:
1 pkg. (12 oz.) Milk Chocolate Chips

Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13x9-in. pan. With floured fingers, press dough in bottom of pan to form crust. Bake for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine all filling ingredients & mix until smooth.
Remove partially baked crust from oven. Spoon and carefully spread milk mixture evenly over crust. Return to the oven & bake an additional 20 to 25 minutes or until set.
Remove bars from oven. Sprinkle with chocolate chips; let stand 3 minutes to soften. Spread chocolate evenly over top. Refrigerate 30 minutes to set chocolate. Cut into bars. Should make 36.

Baby Shower Food Idea #2:
Chocolate Caramel Yummo Bars
Bottom:
1 cup (6 oz.) Milk Chocolate Chips
1/4 C. Butterscotch Chips
1/4 C. Creamy Peanut Butter
Filling:
1/4 C. Butter
1 C. Sugar
1/4 C. Evaporated Milk
1-1/2 C. Marshmallow Creme
1/4 C. Creamy Peanut Butter
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1-1/2 C. Chopped Peanuts, Salted
Caramel Layer:
1 Package (14 oz.)Carmels
1/4 C. Whipping Cream
Top:
1 C. (6 oz.) Milk Chocolate Chips
1/4 C. Butterscotch Chips
1/4 C. Creamy Peanut Butter
Directions: Line a 9x13 pan with foil and set aside. Combine the first three ingredients in a small saucepan; stir over low heat until melted and smooth. Spread into prepared pan. Chill until set.
For filling, melt the butter in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Add sugar and milk; bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; boil and stir for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in marshmallow creme, peanut butter and vanilla. Add peanuts. Spread over first layer. Chill util set.
Combine carmels and cream in a saucepan; stir over low heat until melted and smooth. Cook and stir 4 minutes longer. Spread over filling. Chill until set.
In another saucepan, combine chips and peanut butter; stir over low heat until melted and smooth. Pour over carmel layer. Chill for at least 3 hours.
Remove from the refrigerator 20 minutes before cutting. Remove from the pan; cut into 1 inch squares.
Number Of Servings:8 dozen

Cherry Chocolate Candy Bars
These are awesome! However, last time I made them, Cherry frosting was no longer available at my grocery store. I tried Strawberry frosting and it was good too. If you can find Cherry, use it!

12 oz. Milk Chocolate Chips
1 1/2 C. Chopped Peanuts
3/4 C. Crunchy Peanut Butter
20 Large Marshmallows
1 C. Betty Crocker Cherry Frosting

Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter, add peanuts. Spread 1/2 mixture in buttered pan, cool. Melt marshmallows, add frosting and spread on top of set chocolate mixture. Cool again. Spread 2nd half of chocolate mixture, cool to set. Cut in squares and enjoy!

Baby Shower Food Idea #4:
Pie in Cake Bars
A baby shower food idea without peanut butter in it :)

1 White Cake Mix
6 Tbsp. Melted Butter
1/2 C. Oatmeal

Mix and set 1 C. aside for topping. Press in bottom of greased 9 x 13 pan.

Pour a can of pie filling over the crust.

Topping:
Your 1 C. of mix
1 egg
2 Tbsp. Melted Butter
1/2 C. Oatmeal
1/2 C. Nuts (optional)
1/4 C. Brown Sugar

Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
