Prayers For A Baby Shower

I wrote a poem that is perfect for devotionals or prayers for a baby shower.

Dear Lord, there are times like these
thy power shows through so clearly.
Thou art sending down a babe
who's been with thee so nearly.

It's soon we'll welcome this glimpse of heaven
into our loving arms.
We pray for wisdom to do what's right
to raise him(her) and keep him(her) from harm.

It's through our faith we know
that thou wilt guide us on our way,
to give this baby the peace and love
we feel from heaven today.

As friends and family gathered 'round
we know thou love us so much!
And thank thee for sending a wee little baby
to feel, from thee, heaven's touch.

Amen.
