Lovely Pregnant Belly Cake

Beautiful pregnant belly cake submitted into the 2008 baby shower cakes contest by May Torres, of Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

These are her instructions for how she made her cake:

I used an 8-inch round pan for the belly and 2 6-inch round pans for the breasts.

I carved the 8 inch round cake to form a belly and the 2 6-inch round cakes to form the breast.

I iced my chocolate cake with buttercream icing and covered it with MM Fondant.

I put some floral designs on the cake using the royal icing flowers that I made.

I also made cookies and covered it with icing to match with the cake and this served as a baby shower favor.
