Decide what the inside will say and design it in your word processor. You will need to print landscape style and you will make two invitations per piece of cardstock. After cutting in half horizontally, each invitation will fit perfectly into invitation-sized envelopes. Last time I checked, invitation envelopes are available in a box of 60 for about $2.50. The inside top of this card says: This is where the love begins. Sherri & Jud have a baby girl on the way, So we're throwing a shower/luncheon before the big day. The inside bottom of this card says: (time) (place)
Given By: The new babies favorite aunts: Print a page of cardstock that has "It's A Baby Shower" as many times as the number of invitations you need to make. Then cut each line out. Mine was done with a swirly, rounded style of cut, but you could also just tear them each out, which looks great. Cut your scrapbook paper into square and rectangle shapes. After cutting the invitations, start decorating however you'd like. The inside of this sample baby shower invitation has a strip of scrapbook paper along the bottom inside and a green bottle dye cut over the top of it, to the side of the printed info. As you can see, the front of the invite was just pieced together, starting with the scrapbook paper and layering with a diaper pin dye cut and the word strip. Approximate cost: $.25 - $.50 cents/invite.
